Portfolio Showcase

In my 3D modeling showcase, I drew inspiration from the animated film "Epic," directed by Chris Wedge. Animation has always been a powerful medium, captivating audiences with its ability to tell profound stories through visual brilliance. "Epic" stands out as a true masterpiece, with its themes of environmental stewardship, interconnectedness, and personal growth. Central to the film's narrative is the concept of the pod, a symbol of life's cyclical nature and the delicate balance between humanity and nature. My project aims to capture the essence of the pod by designing a perfume bottle and its point-of-purchase (POP) display, inspired by the film's magical and whimsical world.

The theme "Looks Are Deceiving" serves as a caution against making snap judgments based on superficial attributes. It encourages a deeper exploration and understanding of people and situations, advocating for empathy and insight over prejudice and assumption. This theme resonates across various forms of storytelling, from literature and film to personal narratives, reminding audiences that true understanding requires looking beyond the surface.

The concept "Financial Stability is the Security" revolves around the idea that achieving and maintaining financial stability is a cornerstone for personal and collective well-being. Financial stability ensures individuals can meet their basic needs, manage unforeseen expenses, and work toward long-term goals without undue stress or insecurity. This concept emphasizes that having a steady income, savings, and manageable debt levels creates a foundation of security, enabling people to plan for the future with confidence.

"Coma" is a deeply introspective and emotional journey that reflects an individual's mental state when grappling with profound internal struggles. The concept draws on the metaphorical state of unconsciousness, a place of mental numbness, isolation, and detachment caused by the weight of life's circumstances and personal choices. The song captures a raw and unfiltered exploration of the self, unveiling truths that are often hidden or suppressed.
